Which type of modes are there and how do I choose?

The platform strategically segments user interaction into two distinct operational modalities: Conduct Mode and Participate Mode. The selection of a mode fundamentally defines a user's primary functional role and access privileges within the system.

  • Conduct Mode: This mode is provisioned for users who require the capabilities to initiate, administer, and oversee procurement or sales events. This encompasses the full lifecycle management of instruments such as Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and dynamic auctions. Within this mode, users are empowered with event creation, configuration, monitoring, and finalization functionalities.

  • Participate Mode: Conversely, this mode is designed for users whose primary objective is to engage as respondents or suppliers within existing events. It grants access to view active invitations, submit bids or proposals, manage their responses, and track their participation status in events organized by other platform users operating in Conduct Mode. This ensures a focused and streamlined experience for reactive engagement.
